Gentle Giant - Gentle Giant was a British band considered to be one of the most original progressive rock bands of the 1970s. Inspired by old philosophers, personal events and even the giant stories by François Rabelais, the group went forth to "expand the frontiers of contemporary popular music at the risk of becoming very unpopular", as the boys in the band themselves put it on Acquiring the Taste.

The Friendly Giant - The Friendly Giant was a popular Canadian children's television program on the CBC from September 1958 through to March 1985. It featured three main characters: a giant named Friendly (played by Bob Homme), along with his puppet animal friends Rusty (a rooster who lived in a book bag and played a flute) and Jerome (a giraffe).
